Before creating my porcelain Chinese fans I began making Korean style kites, also from porcelain.  I was entranced by the idea that I could make something so seemingly light from an earth material.  To the kites I added tails fmade rom antique silk and spars from BambooCould they fly?  If the wind was strong enough.  Average size for the kites without the tail: 14" wide, 16" high.
