Redesign the Kindle logo and package in a breakthrough way, and apply them to the advertising campaign.
PART 1: KINDLE LOGO REDESIGN
Kindle uses the electronic ink display to provide a better visual experience like reading with paper. So the new logo is designed with monospaced font that was used for traditional print. Designing ‘i’ with a Kindle shows people who are reading. Especially, the angle of Kindle is 135˚ - the most comfortable reading degree. The colour used Amazon’s black and yellow.
PART 2: KINDLE PACKAGE REDESIGN
HIGHLIGHT OF THE PACKAGE
The original ‘Once upon a time’ tearing paper is the only protective device. While the new design ‘Throw it away, a new way to read will be available’ also sets an exploring experience to make users clear about the advantage of Kindle. After tear the thick book - protective paper, the thinner Kindle will be shown.
