This is my first motion media project. Our assignment was to make a motion media project using still images. At that time, I was really digging the idea of the Kindle, something that allowed people to easily take their books anywhere without the weight. The style was inspired by pop-up books.

My process started with drawing out storyboards and then creating the illustrations for each scene. After that I animated each shot. Then I realized, though it looked great it was missing something. So I searched for sound to give it that little push and found a wonderful song that fit perfectly. The song is "We will not grow old" by Lenka (all music credit goes to her). Oddly enough many of the small details in the project matched up perfectly with the rhythm of the music. Hope this project makes you smile.
