The chemical family 'neonicotinoids' are linked to a phenomenon called Colony Collapse Disorder. Science believes this class of insecticide is causing confusion in individual bees' navigation system. The bees cannot follow instructions, they cannot find nourishing flowers, they cannot find their way home. Like humans affected by the chemical nicotine, they put personal needs as a higher priority than those of the family.
