Kaiju Steel #1
Last year a friend of mine re-tweeted a tweet from @comicaid who were looking for comic artists to get involved in a Japan Comic Aid, a charity set up by Steve Collier, with the aim to raise money to help support the victims of the great Japan earthquake and tsunami, being a fan of all things Japanese I was interested in helping out, I sent Steve an example of my work which he thought would fit perfectly for his monster story he had written and we began trading emails and twitter messages about the project. I did a test page to see if we were on the same page.
We started off with colour images, but the style didn't seem to work, so we had a re think and I drew some in black and white and we knew we had found the right style.
The project took a while to really get going and almost a year passed but finally we finished and got it printed up and in May I managed to go down to London and met up with Steve where we signed copies of the comic at Kapow Comic Con.
