  • Employed by Bright 3D, I was tasked to create technical package documentation for the external signage and wayfinding throughout the site.

Coordinating with an extensive team of design professionals, I set-up and managed technical packages to allow for the creation of back-lit GRC panel signage on structural frameworks, to comply with Zaha Hadid's strict LEED requirements.

I developed fully detailed construction packages from conceptual sketches, which required consistent coordination with the Architect, Landscape Architect, Engineers, Interior Designers, Branding Consultant, manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring that the designs were suitable for the harsh Middle East climate.
Additionally, I provided basic 3D visualisation models to allow for conceptual development of the signage geometry alongside the branding guideline developments.

Signs include a range of totems (3.5m to 1.5m high), building identification (4m long x 0.75m high), and small, low level stainless steel signage.

Most of the signage was a combination of GRC on structural steel framework, combined with stainless steel cladding. Some signage required accessible LED lighting, which was situated behind either SS or glazing in GRC. The remainder of the signs required applied reflective film.

The packages of information I developed was larger than Bright 3D were typically used to, so I set up and managed project specific CAD management processes and standards to ensure smooth running of the project. An international project, issuing and maintaining drawing packages had to comply with strict document control procedures as managed by Zaha Hadid Architects, with issuing and receiving of drawings conducted online
