As a class project the goal was to design a “Penguin Classics” series of four book covers for the trade book market. The book covers designed were a modern rendition of Jules Verne’s books, with a classic feel. Playful type conveys the since of adventure, while the woodcut images enhance the scientific aspect of the Verne novels.
