JimmyJane // Sex toy print ads

  • This is aself-initiated project, which I design a series of advertisingposters for JimmyJane, an existing sex toy company.

    It’s not just all about shock value to grab audience’s attention;there is also a sense of humour that make them laugh and hold their interestmore than a few seconds. Sex appeal is so powerful that advertising and massmedia keep pushing the boundaries of acceptability. What was impossible onedecade becomes ordinary the next. Thus comes the inevitability: societyhas grown accustomed and desensitized to its very occurrence. There is noquestion that the curve of a breast is desirable, but in an advertisingenvironment where skin is no longer hidden, flesh alone is not a priorityturn-on. Today,what is shown is less important than what is implied. My challenge is howto sell sex without provoking sensuality.
