At Jefferson Science Magnet School, five "Trees" had been constructed, one in each of the five kindergarten classrooms. The trunks were created out of cylindrical concrete form tubes and branches cut out of plywood splayed from the upper part of the trunk to the ceiling. I was contracted to paint these unfinished trees. My concept was to create designs for all seasons. Each teacher could choose one of the seasonal schemes for the tree in her classroom. It resulted in an apple tree, an Autumn oak tree, a Spring magnolia tree and two other Springtime trees. Each is unique with different details and features. I used a combination of acrylic interior latex paint and acrylic craft paints
