The Brief
Create a design that shows the fun spectacles of the Philippine Festivals.
The Idea
I instantly wanted to create a pattern, one that would give off that ethnic feel to it. For the details on the pattern, I chose and incorporated specific festivals that I thought would be fun and colorful to illustrate, such as the Maskara Festival, Giant lantern festival & flower festival, and that would also represent the liveliness of our festivals. I also gathered inspiration from patterns of clothes that were worn on different festivals to incorporate the locally ethnic designs that we have and made my own.

The design also won a Bronze Award in Best Design, Illustrations category in
Adobo Design Awards 2014.
