Jamie Oliver - Food Fight

  • Jamie Oliver Food Fight
    Child-prep meals
  • Food Fight! is a concept project Inspired by Jamie Oliver and his Food Revolution. It includes original design, and positioning for a new product within the semi-prep meals food category. Food Fight packages aim to educate about healthy eating through the implementation of cooking in the home. Each meal includes fresh ingredients and directions for preparing simple meals. Education is pushed as parents are encouraged to help children with the more challenging tasks in food preparation. The meals come in three age variations ranging in difficulty and teaching different cooking skills; such as cutting, stirring, and boiling. The Food Fight line of products helps serve as an introduction to cooking at a young age in hopes of forming life-long healthy dietary habits. Food Fight Asks you to take a stand and fight for tasty, healthy& fun food. Every time we are able to replace a processed food with a Food Fight meal, we are taking a step forward in the “Fight for Good Grub.”
  • SUSTANABILITY:
As a way to push this product beyond the home and into the schools, the packaging can be easily transformed into a lunchbox. Any leftovers from the meal can be packed back up in the box and easily transported to school the next day. The top, side panels of the box highlight “Attack Tactics” each with their own cooking tip. The Attack Tactic cards can be taken off and saved for later reference, which also reduces the waste produced from disposed packages.
  • This project was done at California State University, Long Beach along with Missy Barclay, Darren Nguyen, Jessica Richards and Steven Wood.
