Easter Island has an intangible, magical quality to it; you can sense it as you approach the place from the air. It's a most isolated place. It's a five an a half hour flight straight out into the Pacific from Lima. The Maoi statues are even more impressive in person than they look, but what struck me most about the place was the untouched beauty.
