- Iron Giant Book Jacket
an exercise in limited color palettes - The book jacket was designed to capture the spirit of the movie in a limited color palette with a poster-like use of space. All of the illustrative elements are drawn by me without tracing or use of pre-existing image assets. The limited color palette uses bold blacks with warm oranges to evoke a constructivist aesthetic. With the limited palette and access to elaborate illustrations, each element is stronger on its own and part of the whole.
