Irene: Experimental Typography Using Shadows

  • Irene
    Experimental Typography Using Shadows
  • Seen here is a project for my Typography II class, where we had to work to create typography using only shadows, then create a type specimen sheet and finally name our final typeface. In this project the type was created with a variety of found sticks, twigs, and leaves against bricks on the Farmingdale State College campus. The name I developed for the typeface stems from when we were working on this, the found materials and branches that this entire typeface was constructed with, had all fallen from the earlier Hurricane/Tropical Storm Irene on Long Island.
