Iraqi Dinar Exploration
This currency design exploration was aimed to explore the needs of the Iraqi people and the power of currency as a communication design tool in a fractured country. Purposes of this explorations where for the following:
1. Reduce counterfeit issues through increased security measures in design with water marks, specific typography
2. Reduce theft instances by creating a more uniform color scheme. As a cash-based society, the current currency is bright pink at the highest denominator and many citizens are robbed immediately upon payment. The new design explores differentiating the currency at a close view.
3. Create a country's new identity. As a common communication design tool used throughout the country, the currency incorporates the country's history through the area's historical artifacts that are currently in danger.
