- Ion Urban Road Bike
Project made for the Seoul Cycle Design Contest 2010
Selected as a complementary prize
I designed this project thinking in the user needs, and the Seoul city roads.
This bike was designed for a user that wants an urban bike, to go to work, meet with friends, or simply recreate.
The frame was built in Carbon fiber (Top elite model) or Hydro formed 7075 Aluminum (Standard model), and the Wheels in Carbon Fiber, thinking in the ergonomics with the user and generating less aerodynamic drag, creating a bike that fits to all.
The bike comes with a (Rohloff) 14 velocities rear hub, and a Carbon Belt transmition system, because it is a non maintenance system that requires no lubrication, clean and simple.
The result of this is a simple bike, light, with practically zero maintenance, perfect for an user who uses a bike to go to work, run races, weekends recreations, etc.
