The City of Women festival has for nearly two decades been promoting
women in culture and forms an important part of the Slovenian and global
arts scene. We design the festival’s graphic design annually in
cooperation with Neja Engelsberger.
The identity of all individual
festivals is changed according to the selected contents and events. The
overarching image, also included in the publications and the website, is
adapted every year to the theme of the festival. The aesthetics of the
visual identity are placed between the commercial and the alternative,
the mainstream and the underground. Topical issues are presented through
the visualisation and creation of the festival’s publication, ranging
from an open-back binding to eco-friendly printing solutions such as
using fewer pages and making it a multi purpose publication.
