The task for this project was to choose an existing interior space that encompasses an interesting composition, textures, lighting, and an overall unique view.
After choosing four images that fit the described category, we were told to pick out the one that we wanted to manually render. The image selected for this particular project was the Ann Demeulemeester Shop. The reason for my selection was the contrasting textures of the foreground and background.
Initial practice renderings were taken before a final could be reached. Once the class familiarized themselves with different techniques it was time to compose a black and white rendering of our image. Later on a colored rendering was to be done.
For both renderings, markers were used to lay down the initial layer of color and shading. It was then followed by colored pencils to create highlights and shadows.
