Pelican Interior Design - Steven Almond (BA)
I researched the company and decided how i wanted to transform their interior. My Design was based around the following factors:
-Wanting to create a contemporary, fresh and professional interior.
-I wanted to make could use of lighting and came to the realisation that having lights flowing in the direction of the offices would be a nice touch, i found it linked the interior and gave it a nice flow.
-The interior of the walls are made from recycled wood. I thought this would be a nice touch as the company runs various campaigns relating to sustainability and recycling. The walls are very reflective to give a nice bounce from the lighting.
-There are circular sections cut out in the walls which are encased with glass. The idea being that the glass could be removable so company information and clients could be displayed in these sections.
-I likes the idea of better using the area directly in front of the entrance door to the right. i designed a glass cabinet that would work like a shop window for clients, this allowing Pelican to display anything as required and adding interest to any clients straight away on entrance.
-And the wall opposite to the entrance is covered with the company logo and enforces the company brand as clients ascend up the stairs. Read Less
