This project explores that functionality of an in home clothing printer with an online clothing market for the near future. As printing technologies become more mainstream, so to will buying objects online and instantly replicating them through in-home manufacturing techniques such as 3d printing or custom textile weaving.
The task for this project was to continue to develop the story of the clothing printer concept and create a user interface that is visually clean and functionally useful. It incorporates the camera measurement system, the online storefront capabilities and the printing features of the unit.
The main challenge was to understand the workflow of how people would interact with the object. This was done through observation of people's morning and nighttime routines involving clothing. I also observed how people purchase clothing in stores and how people purchase clothing online.
