Minor graphic design intervention is used to enhance the reader experience. As the story unfolds and gets more disturbing, the pages gradually turn redder until at the story's peak, they are bright red.
- All work to do with Franz Kafka and the novella "In the Penal Colony" was done as part of a Masters Degree Major Project. A lot of research was done into the nature of the book, reading behaviour etc. and numerous approaches and experiments conducted. Here a designed beginning of the research process is shown.
