In this project, the concept was derived from unique aspects about the paper line, such as its descriptive name, texture, colors, environmental concerns and so on. Students were asked to create a book along with a set of swatch cards and a poster to promote the paper line. The book was experimental in its design with the objective to convey a message that has depth.

My chosen paper line was mohawk superfine paper. The concept was to focus on the details of the paper. I was inspired by the fine detail within chinese architecture. the architecture itself is like a fabulous artwork with every tiny element contributing to the whole. Apart from the aesthetic, the symbology of Chinese architecture is related to ancient spiritual beliefs. whatever is expressed on the surface is fill with significance. Read Less
