Impression / Vision | Dance + Kinect + Max/MSP/Jitter

Impression / Vision performed at Muhlenberg College's "20 Years of Dance." Juried selection.
My wife, Kara, and I originally, created this piece for The Fishbowl Collective's "Instaconcert." Live video of the performer is manipulated via Kinect sensor running into Max/MSP/Jitter. The video imagery responded to the depth of the room and positioning of the performer. Additionally, the video effects were controlled by audio input, thus creating a unique, dynamic performance each time.
The "wireframe" effect served as the basis for further experimentation. The following video shows the unaltered effect. The final performance included a manipulated and layered version of the "wireframe" figure.
