  • There is No Fairy Tale
Illustration for Designers Against Child Slavery (DACS)

Designers Against Child Slavery is a Design group that enables creatives from all over the world to rise up against sex trafficking in Southeast Asia. We want to see just how effective artists can be when they start breaking the boundaries of Culture, race, religion, and backgrounds to unite for a social cause, and use their unique styles and talents to give a voice to the voiceless.

For children who are sadly involved in child slavery, they don't have the luxury of happy-ending-bed-time stories like other normal children. In their world, there is no fairy tale but only cruelty and despair. Without protection, they are vulnerable against obstacles and unexpected threats.
  • I want to input something in my illustrations that could touch people's hearts and emotions, at best able to move people to make a difference to social cause. At times, some people might not feel how these children feel. Unlike normal children, they don't have the luxury of happy-ending-bed-time stories. In their world, there is no fairy tale but only cruelty and despair. I hope through my illustration, the public can 'see' what these children are going through so that more people can give a hand to make a difference in their life.
