The great Chinese magazine IDN called us to create the opening for its new DVD, attached to its print version. The main topics of its 19th launch were mappings, projections, 8bits and pixels, and we decided to put everything together inside a blender and to start mixing! The result was a Latin-American cocktail, highly explosive, full of color, and with a great rhythm thanks to our Daft Plenty VJ!
It was the nice challenge. With a very little time we had to improvise and make something interesting that it mixes all these topics, taking in consideration the mapping technology.
The origin of the Open was a corporeal Pixel. Yes! A 50cm white wood cube on which we projected and mapped a pure motiongraphics explosion! Full of patterns and geometric shapes re-adapted to the 8-bit world, inspired on the magic latinamerican ponchos and ancient indigenous graphites to finish with the IDN logo soaked in these colorful patterns.

La gran revista china IdN nos llamó para crear la apertura de su nuevo DVD adjunto a su editorial. Los temas principales de su 19no lanzamiento son el mappings, las proyecciones, el 8bits y el pixel, por lo que decidimos poner todo junto en nuestra licuadora y empezar a batir! El resultado fue un Coctel Latinoamericano totalmente explosivo, colorido y lleno de ritmo gracias a nuestro Daft Plenty VJ!
Fue todo un desafío ya que en poco tiempo tuvimos que improvisar y hacer algo interesante que mezcle todos estos tópicos, contemplando la técnica del mapping.
El origen del Open fue un Pixel corporeo, Si! un cubo de madera blanca de 50 cm al cual luego le proyectamos y mapeamos una explosion de motiongraphics pura! Llena de patterns y formas geométricas reversionadas en el mundo del 8-bit que fueron tomadas de los mágicos Ponchos latinoamericanos y antiguos grafitos indígenas para culminar en el logo de IDN bañado y empapado de estos coloridos patterns.
