Posters for a typographically themed restaurant
The brief was to create the branding of a typographically themed restaurant. I wanted my restaurant to reflect aspects of both old and new design, as if the restaurant had been there for decades and then re-opened. I wanted a subtle air of cool to the whole thing, logo, posters etc.
In the end I created a logo and two posters that would advertise the restaurant. I called the restaurant “The Letter Press”, I felt this name lended itself to not only printing terms as well cooking terms but it also gives an air of times gone by. I wanted the colours to be subtle, choosing in the end a dull orange, grey and white.
The posters describe how good food and good design should be and how food and type make a person feel.
