A publication concerning one of the worlds greatest alien invasion hoaxes; Orson Welles' radio adaption of HG Wells’ popular science fiction novel ‘The War of the Worlds.’ Presented as a series of simulated “news bulletins”, many listeners were tricked into thinking that an actual alien invasion was in progress. Performed on Halloween, 1938 and aired over the Columbia Broadcasting System the trick or treat styled hoax had America’s ‘Eyes Turned Skywards’.
