  • Museum Mission Statement:
    The International Puppetry Museum (IPM) is dedicated to promote, to preserve and
    to advance the international art of puppetry. It supports and enriches the diverse
    communities of Southern California through outreach programs that blend
    performance, exhibitions and education.

    Design Strategy:
    In order to evoke an inviting, warm and clean look, rounded rectangles were used in the
    layout. The type choice is Cronos Pro which is a sans serif that embodies the warmth and
    readability of Old style Roman typefaces. The coral color was chosen because it is
    vibrant, energetic and stimulates emotions; exactly what puppet art is all about.
    The gray was used to neutralize and balance the coral and also to evoke emotion and mood.
    For the logo, an abstract character was created to represent a puppet. It has a simple
    shape for easy recognition and reproduction.
