Hunters: Charks an' Kittehs

We wanted to draw some comparison between two similarly voracious hunter killers - one is loved and the other is currently being senselessly hunted to extinction...

Originally we created this piece for a traveling exhibition put on by PangeaSeed, an organization dedicated to the conservation of sharks, with a focus on raising awareness of the issue of shark finning through art.

Kozy drew the animals in a large detailed pencil drawing, and painted the flower pattern separately.  The drawing and painted flower pattern were scanned in and composited in Adobe Photoshop, and the animals were painted directly in Photoshop to complete the image.

The print edition is sold out, but we still have a few of the artist proofs available in our web shop.
