This headdress was created for a photoshoot by photography company Obsidian AIC, though these are the images I captured. The notion behind this piece was the concept of society and unification of the human race through the idea of changing ones persona via masquerade, garments and even make up. The particular shape of this headdress is inspired by mongolian design which are known as both rams horns and elephant ears. In cultural anthropology there are both guilt and shame societies and in either case the opinions of others are constantly present, that is to say the indepedant has often to answer to the collective. Though this is not exclusively negative as having the guidance and safety net of others is necessary for shaping the one.
