Apophenic Illustrations gone digital
Usually my illustrations are based on coffee, tea, juice and paint splotches. These chaotic textures provide my brain with the basic material to construct fantastic animals, weird creatures and surreal scenes. It´s like seeing faces in the clouds - we all remember doing that as a kid. Psychologists have a term for this ability of the brain and call it "apophenia". So until now I used apophenia with my analogue tools.
This time I thought why not bringing this to another level - to use digital tools instead of the analogue splotches and ink, I usually work with?!
