My way of making a classic blacksmiths product, the hook.
I am inspired by anemones and other strange creatures in the sea and I like the idea of something unexpected, weird and fun in everyday design.
Not two hooks are the same and I work in small series of 5-10, constantly evolving the species.
I start with improvising a lot of separate shells and tentacles in the forge and then assemble the best by welding on the inside. On the back is a "keyhole" for easy mounting.
Forged mild steel with oil-based paint mixed with some asphalt.
