GLOBO.COM (HOMEPAGE)
CLIENT GLOBO.COM    |     YEAR 2011    |    ROLE INFORMATION ARCHITECT (INTERN)
The globo.com homepage is the most accessed portal in Brazil. It has 23 million users and 1.3 billion pageviews/month (ComScore MediaMetrix data, June/2012) and it is a gateway to the websites and products of Globo Organisations like globoesporte.com, g1.com.br, etc.globo.com, magazines sites, newspapers as well as TV news programs, soap operas and other TV programs portals.

In 2011, the project's aim was to reorganize the content, giving more visibility to products and highlighting new additions (specifically Musica.com.br and Techtudo). We also included more editing options for coverage of major events like The Olympics and Elections as well as important breaking news alerts etc. We gave more visibility to the videos produced by our products, we added a weather widget with geolocation, and a way to personalize the content seen by each user, allowing them to tag their zodiac sign, team, city and favourite TV show.

Aside from changing the platform from Vignette to GloboCMS, which is developed and maintained by globo.com, I was involved in training and supporting the publishers throughout this transition.

co-workers: Moises Ribeiro (Information Architect) and Luciano Pouzada (Designer).
