- Infographic or you can say as data visualization, is done by creating all the information into graphics. It will give freshness to reader, who always read boring texts, let their mind relax and viewing the information in a beautiful way. The topic I did for this project is "Top 5 Common Holiday Sickness & Ways to Prevent It". Since it is a useful guide for travelers, infographic is the best solution to present.Speaking about the idea and concept for this infographic, I used the Snake & Ladder Board Game to metaphor traveling. Each of the step you walked in the board game is like the step you traveled, and it is good to be used in this infographic. Also, each of the graphic using inside will be having its own metaphor meaning on it. Present the information with simple, minimal yet beautiful graphics, this is the tips on creating a beautiful infographics.
Topic Tagline- All the information data is collected by me through online survey from my surroundings friends and family. Setting the question on survey is also important. The question need to be relevant with your topic and it need to be a important and useful information, so that your infographic wont looks boring or lacking of information inside.One of the design solution I made for the data visualization is using duplicated graphics. For example, 1 graphic duplicated into 10, it can shows like 10 out of how many people feels about it or something like that. It just have to adjust on the color transparency.
Another design solution for data visualization is using a graphic bar chart. Creating a relevant graphic of your topic which can turn it into a bar chart, it won't have to be the traditional old style of bar chart, it can be something more interesting.

Data Visualization design solution - graphic bar chart method- Talking about the information content, I found out the top 5 most common holiday sickness are Food Poisoning, Diarrhea, Fever, Headaches and Flu. So in my infographic, the snakes represented sickness, which in the board game you step on it, will makes you fall and goes backwards, and you need to walk again.
However, there will be also ladders in the board game, which helps you to fast forward your steps, just like the tips and ways to prevent to sickness, it gives you benefits and win the game. So, travel smart makes your journey enjoy to the maximum. - The Infographic Poster
