In January 2012, one of the oldest fraternal organizations in Chicago offered five exquisite trophies for sale through Sotheby's Important Americana auction in New York City. It was a singular pleasure to be afforded the unique opportunity to draft the historical overview (page 40, third image) and assist in the challenging task of retrieving archival documentation in support of this transaction, which yielded in excess of USD300,000. The experience of working closely with Sotheby's talented team of experts was a highlight of my professional career. Their market knowledge and attention to detail is unrivaled, as is quite evident in their superb publications.
