  • Hippocampus intended to propose a mixed programme of ink factory and sacred library at Silvertown. The proposal provides a space for confessioners, individualist writers and historians to write about their memory and ideas. It becomes a metophoric space as it tries to represent a space in time when ideas, design and innovations are generated without mass media. The archieve gathers collections of idea. Over time the archieve becomes a museum itself, a tomb of past memory.
  • Hippocampus’s curved shape in the human brain reminded early anatomists of a seahorse (Greek: hippos = horse, kampos = sea monster).  Hippocampus emerges from the water of Royal Victoria Dock and it becomes the memory of the city, using the water from the Thames to generate ink for it’s users.
