The odd time at Hilton we will be asked to design a site to promote the hotels bars and restaurants. In this case, I was given the project of designing the website for the Hilton Chicago Rosemont's restaurant, The Liberty Tavern.
The hotel wanted to keep the feel of the restaurant going on the website, using browns and greens to match the interior of the restaurant.
With this in mind I took a colour swatch of the green used on the chairs, then took an image of the wooden interior and used this within the design on the panels on the homepage. I kept it subtle to show the rich colour of brown to match also.
The idea was to keep the look and feel, but also to make it somewhat modern to attract all ages of visitors.
The one thing I dont like is the image of the red cocktail that was supplied by the hotel, but they insisted on using it. I'd have liked to have changed the colour of the cocktail to something that matched better.
