Midwest based animal lifestyle photographer, Barbara O’Brien, along with Hollie Mae Schultz of HMS Styling collaborated on a fun fashion project last fall that combined Schultz’s high style with O’Brien’s animal instincts.
A crew of models, stylists, wardrobe assistants, hair and make up artists, a digital tech, photo assistants and animal wranglers all descended upon a rustic farm near the tiny hamlet of Stockholm, Wisconsin (Pop. 93) to create something new.
A beautiful black Friesian horse, a Morgan horse and a pony, along with a white swan, a wooly cheviot sheep and six Irish Wolfhounds were featured with model Kelly (Ignite Models-Minneapolis) in the rustic yet softly textured images.
Just one wolfhound alone outweighed the poor Kelly by more than half but she managed to walk all six at once.
The results of the shoot have been published in the 2012 February/March issue of VECU magazine.
