I worked with a small team of friends to conceptualize “Hello World”—a kit of physical programming components that teaches girls basic technology skills through a medium they’re already interested in: craft. The kit contains DIY fashion accessories, incorporating technology to add a social component. Kits would provide a variety of challenges for varying skill levels, encouraging advancement from simple sew-and-go projects to more complex program-with-your-phone kits.
