Hand cut paper transformed into digital illustration; printed onto viynl then adhered to perspex panels (5xA3 & 2.5mm thick). Featured in the Vivid Student Exhibition at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Australia.

Artists statement: Coral Reefs are the heart of the oceans; looking from the inside out, my illustration expresses the vibrant layers of beauty found within coral reefs- shells, organisms, microscopic patterns in corals and anemones, and splashes of colour that explode from all forms of underwater life. Light is filtered as depth increases, and with every layer, like every metre deeper, more life is found.
Coral Reefs are the heart of the oceans, and must be valued and respected. Since the Dreamtime, the Australian Coral Sea has been the setting for underwater adventures, and provided a continuous discovery for those who seek them. Descending into oblivion, divers are transported to a foreign world unlike any other; mesmerised by peculiar marine creatures and vibrant coral formations as they dance along the currents in a wordless motion.
