This was a project redesigning an already established brand and putting it in a new light. Since I was in college when I made this concept I figure I'd get better connection with the audience as this is probably what many of us survived on.
Due to high sodium in the flavor packages of ramen, I decided to have an alternative and more natural means of flavor in the form of frozen meats and vegetables. While this would increase the price over all it probably could still remain in the range of college students since many probably chose frozen dinners as meal options as well, and healthier choice meal options usually do have higher price consequences any how.
The extention was a line of sauce options as well as an update to the western logo. The Eastern logo has a slightly different face from the Western one which probably didn't change since the company established a market here. I simply updated the logo to the eastern design and formed the type around the object playing off of the 'maru' part of the name which means round in Japanese.
