Healthy Harold

I got to work on a pitch for a complete redesign of Healthy Harold, which any kid that grew up in Australia will know of—nostalgia.
It's basically this program that goes around to primary schools and teaches kids how to eat well, be safe, and just learn basic life lessons—I have very fond memories of it. I think there's a huge amount of nostalgia around people my age who are now starting up families of their own and seeing their children go through the Healthy Harold program.

I was super happy with the new Harold, who we re-dubbed "Hipster Harold". As the style is very much inspired by the illustration style in shows such as Adventure Time and the like.

The first Harold I did is below. Basically the same as the above, but a more traditional rendering with outlines and the like—don't mind it actually, has more definition.

Below is an example of what a potential workbook could look like. As you can probably tell, I love clouds.

In addition to the redesign of Harold, we also began to concept up a whole cast of characters that could join him on his many adventures. As well as showing him as more of an adventurer and explorer. Below are sketches of such things.
