The nutrition and family sciences department of Carson-Newman College created a community-wide event to help inform the community about health issue and nutrition tips. They wanted a logo these could use annually that was easily recognizable and posters that helped emphasize the logo and also to show how many different subjects were going to be covered.
I created the logo as a triangle with sections to symbolize the different compartments of healthy living that were demonstrated at the expo. I also wanted to reference the original food pyramid, which is associated with healthy choices.
I emphasized the logo by make the triangle aspect the largest eye-catcher element of the poster and compartmentalizing the rest of the poster. The CLW credit that all student are required to get 10 per semester was being offered at the event so I advertised that so more students would attend.
