Project: Hotel du Vin Newcastle
Budget: £ 8 million (inc. purchase)
Description: This was the former home of the Tyne Tees Steam Shipping Company before it was converted by Hotel du Vin & Bistro. With breathtaking views of Newcastle's quayside and the river Tyne the hotel offers 42 timelessly furnished rooms and stunning suites, this hotel has become the “Flag ship” of the hotels group portfolio.

Although the building itself was not of Listed Building status it was in the quayside conservation & regeneration area and was also sensitive to a listed Victorian mining tunnel that run directly under the site.  The project fell in to three separated elements of build;
(1) Was the refurbishment and alteration of the existing building 1.
(2) Building 2 was a new build two storey steel frame construction building that linked building 1 to building 3.
(3) Building 3 was a new build four storey timber frame construction building with cantilever pile foundation that spanned over the Victorian tunnel.
