Hanging Design
Studio
AIRPORT made this Fanzine for the youth, not only to promote design
language but also to confront them and above all to inspire them to work
with it. We eventually proved that the youth is willing and able to
understand and appreciate the work of a graphic designer. While staying
focused on typography, they’d pass the threshold of uncertainty.
There
were several typographical terms explained to the target group in the
coffee-shop which helped them to get right to work. Each of them chose a
term and tried to visualize this in a typographical style. After this
exercise they were able to understand the concept of the term that was now visualized. For each person who joined the workshop there is a small booklet made. After unfolding it into a poster, the person photographed is visible in a way many designers exhibit their poster.
