TAŞ MAKAS KAĞIT Handmade Notebooks

Taş Makas Kağıt means Rock Paper Scissors in Turkish. Me and two other friends (Yasemin and Derin) started to make notebooks at first just for fun or as gifts for friends and family. But then quickly it became a passion. We now experience new bounding techniques, new materials for the covers, cool graphics and fabrics.

As Amelia who covered our notebooks in her blog "Be Happy" says, the handmade quality of these notebooks add a special something for its users. These notebooks are the perfect alternative for mass-production.

"What I love about the products is that, they are hand bound, so, when you use it, you know that there isn't a machine out there, in a dark corner that spits these out faster than the world can use them up, but someone actually took their time & made an effort just for you, so you could have that notebook."

The thunderbolt notebook. The shape is carved out from the cover and the notebook is bound with buttonhole stitch which exposes the paper within and shows off the binding.
