Hand-carved rubber and eraser stamps

I started carving stamps from erasers in March 2012, starting with an X-acto knife, then moving on to woodcutting tools, then a Speedball Linocutter, and then back to an X-acto knife. Carving stamps is a casual, weekend hobby, a way for me to unwind and get off the Internet (heh).

Here are some of my stamps-- these photos from my Instagram account, @wedgienet, where I document and keep track of most of the stamps I make. These are arranged in a chronological order, starting from my first stamp to my most recent. My original Instagram captions accompany the photo when relevant :)
I made a simple heart-shaped eraser stamp a few days ago using an X-acto knife. Hopefully, with proper carving tools, I'll be able to make more complicated stamps someday :) (March 2012)
Second attempt at carving eraser stamps... This time with proper carving tools  Not as clean and perfect as I wanted them to be but it's a start, yes? Pretty pleased with how they turned out (March 2012)
Some rubber stamps I made recently. Gray one is cheap, unbranded rubber block (and it shows). Pink stamps are carved from Speedball Speedy-Carve (June 2012)
I started using a Speedball Linocutter in July 2012.
August 2012
Carved from a PHP 18.00 ($0.40) Faber-Castell eraser— carves just like the rubber block I bought abroad! (September 2012)

My growing #rubberstamp and #eraserstamp collection (September 2012)
Used my #cat and #heart #eraserstamp to decorate a plain, "Muji-esque" notebook (October 2012)
Up until this point I largely used a Speedball cutter to carve my stamps, but went back to using an X-acto knife to utilize a carving technique that would make the stamps more durable and resistant to collapsing/wear and tear.
Speedball-less rubber stamp carving :) (just a rusty X-acto knife and a little help from the u-tip tool) (February 2013)
April 2013
Thanks for looking! Check out my eraser stamp carving tutorial (using woodcutting tools or a Speedball cutter) on my website: http://www.wedgienet.net/arts-crafts/how-to-carve-eraser-stamps/
