Realization of a light box with gold leaf, flat black paint, realisation of an 'infinity miror', selection of art and design pieces.
For this project, our client is an art collector who wished his flat's entrance felt more intimate, allowing him to efficiently display his art collection similarly to a museum's exhibition. His interest for Nouveau Realism art movement gave us the idea to paint the whole room in a 'monochrome' style. We painted the walls and ceiling flat black and used gold leaf coating on a box hung on the right entrance wall. The box is used as a visual support for the work of the artist Arman. This art piece is fixed on a stand and is lit by two neon lights that we placed inside the box to create an indirect lighting effect that really sets off the piece's mouldings.

On the opposite wall, we have erected an 'infinity mirror' to create a “placed into abyss” reflection effect. This effect was achieved by using a clever combination of LED bulbs and one-way mirrors. This technique causes the space to look surrealistic, as in the mirror it looks indefinitely stretched.

On the side walls we designed three shelves that are used to display art and antique pieces including an acrylic crystal vase by Shiro Kuramata and a silver compression by Cesar. The abstract drawings on paper by the polish artist Lutka Pink are organised on both side of the hall and create a series of shimmering windows.
