The Hague's oldest animal shelter "Haags Dierencentrum" decided this year to put some more efforts into the publishing of their annual report. The first time that it had to be designed and printed. A new logo and stationary was launched in 2012 what had to be emphasized and presented to a bigger public.

 

The shelter experienced a very bad financial situation in 2012, which led nearly to closing down. Nevertheless the management together with a fantastic staff and a lot of volunteers managed to find their way out of this situation and to pick up the threads. This gave me the idea of the pink crocheted thread, which is drawn. through the whole report. The thread is – like real life – never straight and balancing between the tables of numbers and texts, from page to page. Transporting in the meantime the main message of the shelter: to be careful, approachable and professional.
