Recently we took our chances and entered a tender for corporate identity design for new gallery in Prague. The main and most challenging aspect was to come up with suitable name for the galley. I personally liked the idea of HUSOVA 21, which was not being liked by the client. That's why we needed a strong idea and reason to go with that name to convince the client.
We started with the fact that the name was the actual address of the gallery. Which is the most buzzing location in the very heart of Prague. Also the gallery was being opened under a official body of the Central Bohemian Country Association. They already had few organisations linked together. So we came up with the idea of a bigger structure that could underline this fact. We started with creating a map application that got all the linked galleries and organisations marked in the map. Following this idea we created the logo and the whole concept of the design came out.
At this point we still don't know the result of the tender.
